...thinking....

is it possible to make paint effects w/ some of the leaves? Than I could apply to some specific areas in the close up renders.....
...er..... is it a stupid idea??

    You certainly could. paint effects have their own issues with rendering though. getting them to look realistic can be tough. But... experiment! that is why you are at this.
